Hi guys, we have seen that Ubisoft had officially announced Assassins Creed franchise will have a new upcoming title which is yet to be released the Assassins Creed Mirage is coming soon. So, today I am going you to tell about Assassins Creed Mirage.
The new instalment of Assassins Creed will be upcoming Mirage, the game is set in Baghdad, the center of Caliphade at the time 850 C.E. before the events of Assassins Creed Valhalla.
Arabian vibes with a middle east touch will make this game back to its roots like Assassins Creed 1 and even the game is lean more towards the stealthy approach which makes this game again formerly what Assassins Creed was officially known as.

A recap before Assassins Creed Mirage
It is next in line up after Assassins Creed Valhalla, The Assassins Creed Valhalla’s antagonist Basim will be the protagonist of this game.
As in Assassins Creed Valhalla, Eivor and Sigurd both managed and somehow trap Basim in the grey. Where his body died but his consciousness stayed alive through out the modern day.
The ISU Lore in Assassins Creed Universe
Let me tell you this in a little more detail. Odin, Loki, Thor, Freya & Tyr all these Norse Gods are represented as ISU’s in this game. ISU’s are simply those who came before they were highly civilized at the time roughly dated around 75,000 BCE. So, all these ISU’s came to extinction due to coronal mass ejection or solar flare which ended their civilization.
ISU’s were technologically very much advance even from the modern day standards. So, they prophesized on the basis of their calculations that they are going to hit by a massive solar flare to prevent that they tried many inventions none of them was able to save them. In Assassins Creed Valhalla, it is shown that they can’t prevent Ragnarök (Apocalypse) but they can save their consciousness which able them to start life again in another body.
In Assassins Creed Valhalla, Eivor had developed consciousness of Odin. Basim as Loki & Tyr as Sigurd and many more. From the legends of Norse mythology it states that Loki and Odin have disputes regarding many consequences. Even in the new life with new bodies as Eivor, Basim still had agony left by Odin in the ISU era.
Eivor wasn’t fully adapted Odin’s memories yet but was taking it like some visions of him. On the other hand Loki is all set and already captured Basim’s mind with a mutual understanding of both. At the time when Basim try to kill Eivor for his deeds when he was Odin. Eivor & Sigurd both managed him to trap him in the simulation.
The Grey (Simulation)
At this time Basim’s body was dead but his consciousness and Loki’s consciousness was able to thrive in the simulation where he planned to reunite with his love Alethia now her consciousness was alive in The Staff of Hermes Trismegistus. Through the events of Assassins Creed Odyssey and Valhalla both managed to place the Staff right below to Basim’s body who is in grey.
And when they tricked Layla Hassan, she got trapped in Grey and Basim fell from grey on to the Staff. The staff has advance ISU technology can heal, and re-alive the people who touches them and so the Basim was again living in the modern world with Alethia who had consciousness in staff of Hermes.
Now, Basim is planning to brings his (Loki’s) children back alive Fenrir, Hell & Jormungander maybe ? Basim goes to the animus on which Layla was seeing Eivor’s memories Basim held animus while Shawn & Rebecca was gone out to bring William Miles to meet with Basim as per his demand.
Basim was seeing the Eivor’s memories to know him completely. What’s next will be offered in Assassins Creed Mirage.
Assassins Creed Mirage Story
The game will be set on events before Assassins Creed Valhalla, Basim born in a family of a renowned builder his father built a very famous mosque of Baghdad. The credit of his father’s hard-work was snatched by someone else and later their family had gone through really tough times.
To balance all of his problems he used to be pickpocketing to survive and eat. One of his pick pocketing gone wrong when he was surrounded by the guards, at that moment one of Hidden ones (Formerly known as Assassins) names Roshan came and rescued Basim from them.
After getting save Roshan saw the talent of stealth of Basim as a pick pocketer she offered him to join the hidden ones where Basim accepted and became an Assassin.
Even with of all of this, in his early life he had nightmares and visions of a Djinn (Ghost). Which keep him afraid throughout his life which is assumed as Loki. Like Odin entered in Eivor’s visions same way Loki is trying to enter in Basim’s consciousness but the difference was that Odin entered in Eivor’s visions to make him power & glory hungry.
On the other hand, Loki entered in Basim’s consciousness by scaring him as a Djinn or a monstrous creature.
So, Assassins Creed Mirage will be all about the journey of Basim before meeting Sigurd and Eivor in the events of Assassins Creed Valhalla. Let’s wait and see what more Ubisoft has more to offer us.
From a leak the release date of Assassins Creed Mirage is expected by 30th June 2023*
and the gameplay trailer of Assassins Creed Mirage will be launched on E3 which will be held in June.
